Polson City/County Planning Board
VOLUNTEER POSITION AVAILABLE POLSON CITY-COUNTY PLANNING BOARD
Lake County is accepting applications to complete a term on this Board. The Polson City-County Planning Board is comprised of volunteers who advise the City and County on planning issues, which typically include subdivisions, special use permits, and zoning regulations within the Polson Planning Area of the Polson Development Code. The Board typically meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm. Applicants must reside within the County portion of the Polson City-County Planning Area.
Applications may be obtained from the Lake County Planning Department and submitted by Feb. 28, 2011 (or until the position is filled). Please include a letter of interest and brief background history detailing any experience relevant to the review of land use and growth management issues, and submit to the Planning Department. Overview of Duties
Members assure the promotion of public health, safety, morals, convenience, order, and the general welfare of citizens or for the sake of efficiency and economy in the process of community development. Members prepare a master plan and serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Lake County Commissioners and the Polson City Council. Members may propose policies for subdivision plats, public ways, places, structures and utilities, issue improvement location permits on platted and unplatted lands, lay out and development of public ways and services within the unincorporated portions of Lake County.
