Lake County Planning Department
 UPDATE: On September 21, 2011, Mike and Marlo Maddy’s agent, Dave DeGrandpre of Land Solutions, LLC, requested that the Planning Department place the Maddy application on hold until further notice. Therefore, the county review of the Maddy application is on hold, and the Planning Department is only pursuing the county-initiated update process as discussed below.
LAKE MARY RONAN AREA ZONING
The Lake County Planning Department is in the process of initiating updates, corrections, amendments, and revisions to the Lake Mary Ronan Zoning District and Regulations and potentially the surrounding development density designations on the Lake County Density Map.
On September 14, 2011, the Lake County Planning Board and Lake County Planning Department conducted a public meeting as part of this process.
The next step is for the Planning Department to draft revisions to the regulations and prepare maps depicting the area’s zoning designations (both existing and proposed).
The Planning Department is accepting comments through the process. Please keep in mind that some comments may be more appropriately reserved for a time when actual draft revisions and maps have been released. However, any comment received by the Planning Department will be considered by the staff when drafting the regulations and maps.
The existing zoning regulations, maps, and related information regarding the updates may be viewed at or obtained from the Lake County Planning Department, Room 315 of the Lake County Courthouse. The Planning Department will also update this page of the county website from time to time and post links to pertinent information (see links below).
