The Planning Department is
responsible for Lake County's current and
long range planning and the administration
of a number of programs.
These programs include: |

- Capital Improvements Planning
- Growth Policy development and
implementation
- Subdivision review
- Certificate of survey review
- Zoning administration
- Building notification permitting
- Rural addressing
- Floodplain administration
- Lakeshore protection permitting and
other services.

The Planning Department is
located on the 3rd floor of the Lake County
Courthouse. Hours of operation are from 8 to 5,
Monday through Friday.

Sue Shannon, Planning Director
Oversees all aspects of the planning department
including long range planning, capital improvements,
Certificate of Survey review and administration.
Works closely with Lake County Commissioners and
other local governments to promote responsible
development and to maintain healthy growth in Lake
County.

Tiffany Lyden, Planner
Specializes in lakeshore, zoning and building
permitting and rural addressing. Administers the
floodplain determination activities for Lake County.
