Overview of Duties
Members hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official in the enforcement of 76-2-2 M.C.A. of any zoning resolution adopted pursuant thereto; to hear and decide special exceptions to zoning resolutions; to authorize variances from zoning resolutions that are not contrary to the public interest and where, owing to special conditions, a literal enforcement of the provisions of the resolution will result in unnecessary hardship and so that the spirit of the resolution shall be observed and substantial justice done.
