Safe Kids Safe Communities of Lake County and Flathead Reservation

Welcome.

A project of Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies, Safe Kids Safe Communities (SKSC) of Lake County and Flathead Reservation is one of 16 Montana Coalitions that are dedicated to preventing injury and death caused by traffic crashes, specifically those caused by impaired driving or lack of appropriate occupant protection.

The project is funded by combining federal, state, and private resources. Major funding is provided through a contract with the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) utilizing funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

We accomplish this mission through a variety of programs including car seat check up events, responsible alcohol service training workshops, educational outreach, and child safety seat awareness presentations.
