ages of 17 and 24.
• Alcohol is the most widely abused drug in Montana and the United States.
• THERE IS NO SAFE WAY TO DRIVE AFTER DRINKING.
Montana’s DUI Laws (may take a minute to load)
Consider this: It only takes 1 to 2 drinks to impair one’s judgment. After
drinking, how can a person make a decision regarding the ability to drive?

Responsible Alcohol Sales/Service: “Let’s Control It”
“Let’s Control It” is a liquor education project of the Montana Department
of Revenue and is designed to educate retailers on how to sell and serve
alcohol responsibly in an effort to help keep our citizens safe. The project
promotes four key principles to help businesses operate within the
constraints of the law as well as protect their liabilities. These
principles are:
• Eliminate selling alcohol to minors
• Eliminate secondary selling
• Eliminate selling to intoxicated customers
• Refuse altered or false identification
These free, 3-hour workshops are available through the Safe Kids Safe
