Communicable Diseases:Our Mission: Disease ReportingThe core role of the Lake County Health Department is to protect the health of the general public. The HD does this by following up on reported cases of infectious diseases and disease outbreaks, by offering immunizations and by being an information resource to the public and medical community. What diseases are Montana Health Departments mandated to follow up on? How to report: To report suspected or confirmed infectious disease cases to
the Lake County Health Department call 883 -7288 or (888)445-3269. After
hours, if follow-up should not wait until the next working day, you may call
911, and ask that the Public Health/Tribal Health on-call person be paged,
and that person will call you back. If you suspect a food-borne illness from a public location
or event, please call 883-SICK(7425) Monday through Friday during normal
business hours. After hours, if follow-up should not wait until the next
working day, you may call 911, and ask that the Public Health/Tribal Health
on-call person be paged, and that person will call you back. What about privacy? For information about a specific infectious disease, please

Control and Prevention) website. |
